{"id":10803,"date":"2025-07-29T07:28:23","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T07:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esu-online.org\/?p=10803"},"modified":"2025-07-29T07:30:04","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T07:30:04","slug":"open-call-for-20-participants-bloom-blossoming-into-sexual-health-and-empowerment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esu-online.org\/open-call-for-20-participants-bloom-blossoming-into-sexual-health-and-empowerment\/","title":{"rendered":"OPEN CALL for 20 participants &#8211; BLOOM (Blossoming into Sexual Health and Empowerment)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>OPEN CALL for 20 participants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY \u201cBLOOM \u2013 Blossoming into Sexual Health and Empowerment\u201d led by ESU<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The European Students\u2019 Union (ESU), together with AML\u00c9 (Aontas na Mac L\u00e9inn in \u00c9irinn, formerly known as USI), are proudly organising an international activity in Galway, Ireland.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We are looking for 20 student representatives to join us on a journey to strengthen sexual health education, gender equality, and human rights within higher education!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the international activity \u201cBLOOM\u201d is to empower student representatives to become advocates for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and confidence to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights in their local and national student communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The specific objectives of the international activity are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Comprehensive Sexuality Education: <\/strong>Equip participants with a human rights-based, fact-based and global education perspective on CSE.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advocacy and Strategic Planning: <\/strong>Train participants to effectively advocate for CSE in their local contexts and within higher education institutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gender Equality and Inclusion: <\/strong>Foster safer, more inclusive environments and address gender-based violence through education and awareness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peer-to-PeerLearning: <\/strong>Create networking and collaboration opportunities among student representatives to foster solidarity and common projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When and where?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 28 September to 4 October 2025, including arrival and departure days (5 working days).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Venue: University of Galway, Ireland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Are you a student representative engaged in sexual health, gender equality or human rights advocacy?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you a resident in one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/about-us\/our-member-states\">Council of Europe member states<\/a>?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are you motivated to promote comprehensive sexuality education and safer, more inclusive spaces in higher education?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cost<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The enrolment fee for selected participants is 50 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs are fully covered by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National unions of students are invited to nominate a maximum of two student representatives. The nominated participants must commit to attending the full international activity.
