{"id":4753,"date":"2018-09-05T14:31:01","date_gmt":"2018-09-05T14:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esu-online.org\/new2022\/projects\/deqar\/"},"modified":"2022-10-11T08:27:34","modified_gmt":"2022-10-11T08:27:34","slug":"deqar","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/esu-online.org\/projects\/deqar\/","title":{"rendered":"Database of External Quality Assurance Results &#8211; DEQAR"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"text-fields u-margin\">\n<div class=\"text text-fields__text\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The aim of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eqar.eu\/qa-results\/deqar-project\/\">Database of External Quality Assurance Reports<\/a>&nbsp;(DEQAR) project is the development of a database that will enhance access to reports and decisions on higher education institutions\/programmes externally reviewed against the&nbsp;European Standards and Guidelines (<acronym lang=\"\" title=\"European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education\">ESG)<\/acronym>, by an&nbsp;<acronym lang=\"\" title=\"European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education\">EQAR<\/acronym>-registered agency.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The database is expected to enable a broad range of users, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Recognition information centres (ENIC-NARICs)<\/li>\n<li>Recognition officers in higher education institutions<\/li>\n<li>Students<\/li>\n<li>Quality assurance agencies<\/li>\n<li>Ministry representatives and other national authorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To satisfy their information needs and support different types of decisions (e.g. recognition of degrees, mobility of students, portability of grants\/loans). Through this database&nbsp;<acronym lang=\"\" title=\"European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education\">EQAR<\/acronym>&nbsp;will contribute to the transparency of external quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area. The first&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eqar.eu\/qa-results\/search\/\">public preview version of the database is now available<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is co-funded by the EU programme Erasmus+ Key Action 3 \u2013 European Forward-Looking Cooperation Projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>More information can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eqar.eu\/qa-results\/deqar-project\/\">DEQAR&nbsp;website<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eqar.eu\/qa-results\/search\/\">Database can be consulted here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"text-fields u-margin\">\n<div class=\"text text-fields__text\">\n<p>As a member of EQAR&#8217;s Executive&nbsp;Board and part of the E4 Group, the European Students&#8217; Union (ESU) is involved in the project ensuring relevance of the database links with the end users.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Background: about EQAR<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The origin of EQAR is the 2005 Bergen summit: ministers adopted the Standards and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/esu-online.org\/?publication=standards-guidelines-quality-assurance-european-higher-education-area-esg-2015\">Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)<\/a>&nbsp;and welcomed the concept of a European register of quality assurance agencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The E4* presented an operational model to Ministers at the London summit in 2007.
