{"id":4883,"date":"2020-12-14T09:11:13","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T09:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esu-online.org\/new2022\/projects\/arena-refugees-and-recognition-toolkit-3-project\/"},"modified":"2023-01-25T16:01:50","modified_gmt":"2023-01-25T16:01:50","slug":"arena-refugees-and-recognition-toolkit-3-project","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/esu-online.org\/projects\/arena-refugees-and-recognition-toolkit-3-project\/","title":{"rendered":"ARENA &#8211; Refugees and Recognition (toolkit 3) project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ESU is proud to take part in the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokut.no\/en\/arena-toolkit-3\">ARENA- Refugees and Recognition (Toolkit 3) project<\/a><\/em>, led by NOKUT, focusing on recognition of qualifications for Students with Refugees backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The overall goal&nbsp;of the project is to enhance the&nbsp;<strong>mobility, employability and access to further studies for refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation<\/strong>, including those<strong>&nbsp;without official documentation of their educational background<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Concretely, through this project, the aim of this project is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt; to further test, upscale and adjust the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokut.no\/globalassets\/nokut\/artikkelbibliotek\/utenlandsk_utdanning\/veiledere\/toolkit_for_recognition_of_refugees_qualifications.pdf\">Toolkit&nbsp;<\/a>in cooperation with national recognition centres and higher education institutions (HEIs) from major refugee-receiving countries that have a diverse set of admission procedures;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt; to address the need to integrate a broader focus on ensuring the sustainability of identified best practice procedures and assessment schemes, in an effort towards increased capacity building at institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&gt;&gt; five new refugee country briefings will be developed, providing updated and easily accessible information on the educational systems of<strong>&nbsp;Yemen, Rwanda, Burundi, Sudan and Palestine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project mostly targets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a university staff member working in international admissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in charge of recognition of foreign qualifications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a credential evaluator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an immigration officer or integration adviser for newly arrived refugees and migrants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>looking for ways to recognize qualifications when the documentation is missing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Duration of the project: June 2020-May 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More info:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nokut.no\/en\/arena-toolkit-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.nokut.no\/en\/arena-toolkit-3<\/a>&nbsp;or contact directly&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:project-arena@nokut.no\">project-arena@nokut.no<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/esu-online.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Erasmus-logo_en.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/esu-online.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Erasmus-logo_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8007\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ESU is proud to take part in the&nbsp;ARENA- Refugees and Recognition (Toolkit 3) project, led by NOKUT, focusing on recognition of qualifications for Students with Refugees backgrounds.
